and you can BET that 70% of GUN attacks are made STUPIDLY and ineptly, too (against civilians for sure, if not against cops) Body armor will do a LOT more for you in gun attacks than a lot of time and ammo wasted on ranges beyond 15 ft. :) You aint serious enough to wear armor, why bother with the stupid, 1 time in 100 sort of attack "training" hmm? Either you will have COVER, or you will END it in the first 1 second, or LUCK will be the main determinant of the outcome. Not your "skill".

See above. Body armor does no good if the BG makes a head shot.

so what? Less than 10% of them ever DO try a head shot. Even guys who PRACTICE a lot are SCARED SPITLESS of trying it, when it's for blood. That's why they don't favor .22's, cause a .22 to the head will suffice a LOT more often than will a Makarov to the chest. :) Even tho the .22 is a LOT better able to make the head shot, thru finely usable guns, ease of control, lack of blast and flash, and 5- 10x cheaper practice.

100 cops a year are saved by body armor. Like I said, you just aint SERIOUS about self defense if you're not wearing it.

u r COUNTING upon the guy not having a gun, not firing one, etc. Well, if that IS the case, then a walking stick would be at LEAST as much value to you as is the pistol. The walking stick can be SEEN by the wannabe attacker, causing him to AVOID you. It can also be used SILENTLY, and in a non-lethal manner, if you so choose. You are simply too cheap to buy one,and too LAZY to carry one, that's all. Just like you're too cheap to buy, and too lazy to wear the armor, and too lazy and cheap to take any hand to hand training.

What make and model of body armor do you own and wear regularly?

I guess things won't be different in shtf? So all the normal rules and situations will apply?

Either you are training to include shtf, or you are training to only deal with normal times.

Which is it?

Or does your crystal ball "prove" that what you are claiming now will hold true if sthf?

And what body armor do you use? That is a good question.
