I reserve the "looks" issue for women. On them, it has a certain amount of meaning. On guns, cars, etc, it is meaningless, other than perhaps sale price to a sucker.

I thought they were all pretty cool. If I could get the AUG look in a synthetic for the 10/22, I'd probably get one...
