aging old guns

i have two 22 cal. pump rifles with octagon barrels one has the number 1142 behind the trigger guard the other one has 133565 can anyone tell me the manufacturing date of these guns?

Is there any manufacturer's ID, a name, anything. Just posting the serial numbers probably won't help. Can you post photos?

Yes I did forget that they are both Savage arms co. they are both clip type and one has a pat. date of Dec 25 1906 stamped on the barell

r the bores pitted? that means they were

fired with ammo made in the 30's or .40's. :) \(or before)
