to do with a civilian survivalist. All they have to do to make the 223 a TREMENDOUSLY effective rd is use softpoints in it. There's 4000x as many people who are civilians who need a survival rifle than there are guys who are stuck with fighing with 223 ball. The infantry plays a VERY minor role, and the rifle is a VERY small part of the infantry. It's nearly all done with napalm, bombs, arty shells, rockets, grenades, mortars, belt feds, etc, and that's been the case since WW1. wake up and smell the coffee.

Napalm, bombs, arty shells, rockets and planes can GAIN territory. It is the fighting man with the rifle who HOLDS that territory. The infantry plays a major role in warfare along with the rifle. Always has, always will. I understand that the military in Iraq is using SPs etc right now.

Get a grip. Lose the fantasy and grab some reality.

Sound advice from someone who doesn't know which mountain range he lives in and can't read a map to figure it out.

Infantry does the hard work, but a WANNABE wouldn't know about that.

As I've said, stupekid, SPs blow up on brush. Anyone stupid enough to base their whole strategy on hiding out in 'thick' cover with SPs is a nitwit. And you fill the bill.
