do is get OUT of that area. If shtf in the US, the REST of the world is going to have it,TOO, and sooner, and in most cases, WORSE than the US has it. Nearly every country in the world is UTTERLY dependent upon trade with the US, or with other countries that are so dependent. SOME areas may still have horse drawn farming gear, peasants who know how to get by without the modern dependence upon electricity or petroleum products, but they are rare, hard to reach, and have horrible problems of their own, like insects, heat, cold, drought, etc.

Except that the USA is a major target for nuclear and biological weapons.

If something happens to that degree, if I can I'm either heading for the S. Pacific or British Columbia.

May just wind up moving to Canada anyway after the next 9-11. Several people I know have already bought places in BC out of concern for the future. Gen. Franks was on the air - again - stating that there would be another 9-11 and the result would be a loss of personal liberty in the USA and probably martial law.

This country won't disintegrate overnight, but there are way too many people in our alleged 'government' that would like to see their version of 'order' at all costs, and they have enough gun toting peons to try and enforce it.

I'll take you up on that if I'm in the area. :)

Calgary, that's nice country up there. I could think of a lot worse places to be.
