LOTS of overtime, lived in a van, and spent money on VERY little else. Have to LAUGH at guys who CLAIM that they "can't afford" even ONE nice pc. Hell, practically all of them make 2-3x as much money, every year. The DIFFERENCE is intensity of focus and devotion to the goal, not the oppurtunity. Everyone in the US has the same oppurtunity. They just lack the DRIVE, that's all.

Okey Dokey.... Do you finally have a decent sleeping bag or decent knife yet?

Oh, yeah, don't forget to pick up a compass. Nifty gadget those things can be. They work well with thing we call a 'map'.

'Maps' (flat, made of paper, weird lines and cryptic symbols) are cool because they keep to a minimum embarrassing little goofs like tripping over the ocean, falling into the Grand Canyon, and freezing to death while trying to find a mountain pass.
You STILL don't have a good "piece", while most of us have several. Worse yet, you never WILL have a nice piece because you can't buy one, and if you did manage to finagle one out of someone, you'd do a hacker job on it and it would no longer be a nice "piece".

Liar, you dont make $10 an hour cleaning port a potties.
Perhaps those chemicals are getting to you or the combination of them and the meds your on are effecting your brain

The stupidest part is that he brags about buying guns, then berates other people; accusing them of bragging about buying guns. Then he berates those same other people again, saying they're "too cheap" to spend money on guns.

John - in the bragging column, I have an $1100 rifle on order; ordered it just on a whim. Why? Because I enjoy them, and actually use them.

In the "cheap" column, I've also sold guns over the last year or so. Because they were ones I didn't use. Life can be good if you let it.

I just got offered significantly more than that to do some part time work for a company I used to work for. I don't really need the money, but it would be fun work for me to do.

I had an old boss call me about 18 months after I retired, asking me if I wanted to go back to work digging up UXO on an army base his company is doing land reclamation on. He was offering $30 an hour from April to October. I declined didn't want to piss away a whole summer of shooting fun.
