they are SLIGHTLY more reliable than .22, and SLIGHTLY more powerful. all such MINOR "advantages" pale by comparison to practicing head shots 15x as much (for same ammo costs) and the speed of having gun out and ON the attacker. Hand in pocket offers that "throwing down" on a man in .50 second. Shirt covered IWB takes typical bozo at least TWICE that long. That extra .50 second can EASILY be 2 shots into the head, at typical defensive ranges, or one VERY carefully aimed shot into the nasal passages.
