Antique (?) Revolver

I have a .38 long colt revolver that I am attempting to find some history on. It is an ALFA revolver, apparently produced by Adolf Frank Co., Hamberg, Germany - This is all the information I have been able to find and I would like to know if there is a way to identify exactly how old it is... extensive research on the web has turned up little other than this manufacturer. If anyone can be of help I would greatly appreciate it.
