I'm looking at buying a blackhawk in 41 from one of my friends.

Any comments, thoughts? I've shot it and it is accurate and fun to shoot. I'm thinking it'd be a good gun for the javelina handgun season....

Jest fur a minit I thought I had a fan club.:D

Even with factory loads you should have no problems takeing javelinas.I have friends who have collected both bear & boar with theirs. As well as deer.
The only "problem"w/the 41 is that factory loading are both few & scarce(not all stores carry them). That goes for the guns themselves too.
Have fun with it.

The 41 Mag is the caliber that doesn't get enough respect IMO. If I didn't already have a 44 Mag, I would be looking for a 41. Its accurate, flat shooting and as easy to reload as the 44 Mag.

The Blackhawk is the one handgun that is absolutely perfect for the 41 Mag (again IMO). Give him a trigger job and put some stag grips on it and he will be a fine hunting partner.

I know that you will enjoy it. BTW, what is the barrel length?

RIKA :)
