Anyone else got a Paco Kelly "Acu'rzr, "Nastinose" or "Baby Scorp'n" tool

Got 1 and use it with some interesting results "Modifying' .22LR bullets on the lower end rimfires like R-P 40gr solids and Federal and Remington 'bulk pack' Wal Mart HP's. This little tool makes wadcutters or flat mephlet Small Game bullets out of round nose bullets, and Great BIG Gaping HP's out of standard issue hollowpoint ammo. :bomb: :smash: = punches nice sharpedged holes in cardboard, and pretty much obliterates vermin and other small varmints.;)
Anyone else tried this little tool? - I LIKE Mine:dgrin:

OK Webslave, I dug out the link to the article

Set your browser to: www.gunblast.com/Paco
The article describing and evaluating the little tool was written last September by Jeff Quinn = he took pics as well so you can get an idea what the thing is like and what it can do to .22 bullets. Since I got mine in March (cost me $35 with S&H) Paco's added another tool to his line called the "Baby Scorp'on" which forms a bullet tip into something like the business end of a Hydroshock bullet, or the shape of the new high-end Eley Match ammo. Any of these modifications will help the accuracy and killing power of a regular .22LR bullet (works for Shorts too!)
Hope the readers can use this info.....I sure enjoy mine.:kill:

Good review with pricelist and pics of the tool and the results obtained with the different forming rods = impressive even though I had to download the pic and enlarge/clean it up to see the detales.

Paco Kelly Acurizer Tool - My experience report.

I got motivated to buy the Acurizer tool acording to the many very positive (fake?!) reports about it. I paid $58 with check and ordered all three rods with it. Delivery took 4 weeks.

After unwrapping it and reading the instructions CAREFULLY i followed the instructions and tried the tool. The results were more than disapointing. First of all i got the .222 .223 tool which was not ordered. I ordered the .223 .224 tool.

The tolerances of the inserting rods are sloppy which is causing the rod -NOT- to align in the center. You use it and get off center hollow points. The .22LR ammunition i used for trying the tool was MiniMag.

I used the .223 side of the tool because the .22LR ammo fitted in there without any force. I hammered it VERY LIGHTLY and modified the bullethead about 50% of what you supposed to according to the manual. I wanted to see if a light modification would still allow the bullet to cycle. Guess what.... the bullet did jam. I was not able to fire just one round. I tried it several times and every time i hammered it more lightly as before. I ended up with just ONE light punch (about 10% modification of the bullethead) and i got the same results all the time. The Hollow point was off center and the bullet did not insert in the chamber. After extracting the bullets 8 times with a cleaning rod out of the blocked chamber i got VERY frustrated and gave up on it. Another thing to mention is that the tool is very unstable. The slightest hit with a mallet and it bounced up and down already. I used a solid wood board to set up the tool. After all i requested a refund from Paco Kelly to take this useless POS tool, and that´s all what it is, back.

My experience was --->VERY<--- disapointing and frustrating.

After i requested a refund from Frank Kelly (Paco is not his real name) it took him 5 weeks to mail me a check of $58 back. I had to threaten him with legal action. (Law Suit and DA for fraudulent bussiness). Finally i got my check back but not the shipping cost. I also need to mention that he did not sent a bill with the delivery. He sent my original order letter with some scribbling on it. "unreadable... Have fun."

If you want to spare yourself from a useless tool and trouble do NOT order it !!!

Sir,

You like any member here have a right to voice your opinion.

But please refrain from spamming this board with repeat posting of this kind.

It looks like you are bringing a vendetta against Mr.Kelly to this board which is not welcome by digging up every thread containg mention of his tool and posting the exact same reply.

I think people should know about that and i am not starting a vendetta against Mr. Kelly. I have legal evidence of what i am talking about. So don´t start with me. And anyway you sound like one of Mr. Kellys friends.....Do you get a promotion of the Nastitool?! :headbang:

No in fact I don't tinker with rimfire ammo but you general attitude reeks of having a big chip on your shoulder and a bit if paranoid if you imagine "Mr.Kelly's freinds.." lurking on every website you visit.

It sounds like rimfiredoctor has an agenda of vindictiveness. Or then maybe he is just unable to master the use of a simple tool like the Accu'rizr/Nastinose. It works just fine for me and I give it my highest recommendation.

Rika- What's funny is I went and did a search on this product. Over all most of it's users like it.

Of the negative reports I wonder if some just don't like the process involved or if things like ammo with other issues such as varying powder charges or case quality are a factor. Plus as with all rimfires results may vary from gun to gun.

Rimfire Central has several different threads on this product about it being used on many types of rimfire ammo and the results. Most of the reviews there are to the positive with good to excelent imrovement in accuracey. Though they do acknowledge a certain amount of skill and patience is required when using the tool.

But I guess all of those guys are "Friends of Mr.Kelly" as well. :dgrin:

Ed, you are correct. To be honest, I noticed a couple of things:

1. You can actually make .22 wadcutters but they won't feed worth crap. Don't do it because a little goes a long way.

2. Some brands of .22's (don't remember brand) have harder lead than others so they are harder to form, sometimes requiring several hard blows on the rod. I don't use that kind so its not a problem for me.

Thats the only two real cons and they are easily overcome; even somebody with the IQ of a cockroach can do it successfully. :D

Does this rimfire dude remind you of gunkid?

Yes he does. The "I have legal evidence...." rant was a good one.

What he has is just his word, period.

Online he's just another keyboard commando in my book since the style of his first mulitiple posts here and following ones do not reflect any manners or respect for others at all.
