Ed, you are correct. To be honest, I noticed a couple of things:
1. You can actually make .22 wadcutters but they won't feed worth crap. Don't do it because a little goes a long way.
2. Some brands of .22's (don't remember brand) have harder lead than others so they are harder to form, sometimes requiring several hard blows on the rod. I don't use that kind so its not a problem for me.
Thats the only two real cons and they are easily overcome; even somebody with the IQ of a cockroach can do it successfully.
