At least I have my video, voice, and data stuff working - though there's still more to do in this cabinet...still have the security system and a few "extras" to deal with.

The cables visible at the top, outside of the cabinet are for my wireless access points, my VPN concentrator, and my cable modem. (as soon as I find my hole saw kit, I'm going to re-route those cables and tack them down properly.)

My home network is a little more complicated than most peoples...

i have to fix

a copper hot water line leak on my trailer the ex-cons renting[in the morning ,i just shut his water off ,for tonight]

then the girl friend mentioned cleaning out some of the garage,HIP-HIP- HOORY! on that one! then it will be sleeping late and napping until bed time[now thats REAL POWER IN LIFE]

Not too bad here in Tallahassee. Storm is making landfall right now, but mostly a rain event. Yesterday had a tree fall across my comcast cable line and pulled it away from the house. I was able to pull the tree off of it and simply fix the coax cable end to get it working again. The thought of being on dial-up modem for several days didn't thrill me at all.

Looks like we dodged the bullet on Frances up here.... :duck:

Now we have to keep out eyes open for Ivan for next weekend..... :blowup01:

This weekend, just low-impact domestic things.

My wife's out of town "doing Branson" with some friends, so I'm taking the nine-year-old to little league, changing the oil in the truck, probably cutting the grass, etc.

Tonight, 9-year-old's spending some time with Grandma so I can take the 13-year-old out to see "Resident Evil 2". (In some ways, Ward Cleaver I'm not... )
