Is it possible to get an AR type rifle with wooden furniture?

I dont know... I dont mean to start any kind of flame fest but I just dont find synthetics as appealing, at all in fact. I suppose its a petty thing really.

Its all good, if you like wood, you deserve to have wood. Or laminate or whatever.

I've seen these before, and they look sharp. My only concern would be that the AR's give off a lot of heat. I wonder if the wood could stand up to any kind of sustained fire.

An AR with wood furniture would be pretty but not very practical.

Those were only the buttstocks, I don't think the AR generates enough heat at the buttstock for it to be a problem. . .

Although it might. . .almost. . .sorta. . .make an AR look like it has. . .class?

The ones I saw years ago had wood buttstocks and forearms. Like I said, pretty sharp looking.

Forearms too? I have to say, an AR with walnut forestock would look pretty neat.

Mabu see pics in Central America of M-16's fitted with nice wood but they were intended for officers ,IIRC.
