somebody will BE IN IT before you get there. After shtf, the weeks of noisy work to build a cabin will draw in your killer. Stupid idea.

why , would the noise lure a killer?

maybe/maybe not! a coin toss/pure luck[in your words]

the one building a cabin has a plan/squared away.

the lured'killer'[that your SO fond of]

is still just a stumble -clod[weakend from his stumble-clodding]

man is a social creature,by nature!

there is a deep mental/retarded defect in a persons brain who would bush -whack every person they came across[i know a tracer rd. past your face at night, would be more than enough incentive for you to move on to a more hospitilble[sp] a.o]

you will deserve the wounds you die from, davis!

Ok, assuming that such work, in the middle of the remote boonies, draws some attention from some wanderng, murdering scumbag...... what makes you think that just because this prick shows up that he's gonna even get close let alone have 'his way' with the people there?

Most people of the petty brigand/looter mindset are the shiftless, something for nothing types and lack discipline. They may make for a showy street gang in the 'hood', but all in all they are bimbling novices at the skills needed to both pull off a raid like that, let alone survive the elements long enough to even get within binocular range of a sentry lookout.
