The same way a miss from a .44 Magnum is better than a hit from a .22, John. Also the same way any 9mm is useless except if it's a surplus, cobbled up, non-plus P Star BM. Then it becomes perfect. The same way a Makarov, even with 115 Gr HP's is a completely useless, underpowered gun, but the .22 Phoenix Arms HP is perfect as a carry gun. I could go on and on.John in AR said:Then the .22LR is even more pointless, isn't it? It's got even less (substantially less) power than the 'wimpy .32'.
If by "blow to the chest", you mean a fist, kick, whatever, that's an incorrect statement. A "dozen little wimpy .32's" is anywhere from 1,400 to 1,800 ft/lbs of energy deposited (your favorite criteria), not to mention the resulting perforated organs, blood loss, etc.
How is 1,600 ft/lbs from one gun great, and from another gun, a joke?
