So simple geometry PROVES that they are fos. 90 % of the time, the guy wont make you hit him at ALL with a bullet, and 90% of the time,(normal times) if you HAVE to fire, it will be at 10 ft or less.

Shtf, the centerfire pistol will mean LESS, not more. The autorifle will be carried constantly, so the pistol will almost no role at all, and most of that role is best filled with a silenced .22 pocket auto. Only an idiot is going to be armed with just a pistol, when everyone else is carrying an autorifle.
