in his Gold Cup, to get the damned thing to feed swc's reliably. It seems that somebody cut too much relief on the barrel, to the rear of the area that fits tightly in the bushing, when in battery. This booboo let the barrel tilt a bit as the slide moved forward, which would "bind" the barrel in the bushing, just enough to "drag forward' the barrel, off of the feed ramp part of the frame, causing "stem bind" failures to feed. He about pulled out all of his hair before he finally figured out what was wrong.

I use Dwyer Group grippers from Wilsons in all my 1911's. Great piece of kit and it does tighten your groups.
