Every year we go Carp shooting and bag a couple hundred pound's worth in 5 or 6 hours. With the little fat kid with the bad haircut and Trump rattling sabre's, we kicked around the idea of Carp as a fairly easy type ofsurvival food to acquire. Female Carp lay up to 1,000,000 eggs each season and even if 1% survive to maturity, that's a lot of carp. All you really need is a boat of some type and a bow. Carp can be smoked, dried, or pickled for the long term. I am an incredibly bad shot with a bow because I shoot mine about four times a year. Even so, I usually get 1/2 dozen or so because their easy target's. Something to ponder.
