The Colibri is adequate for small game without a suppressor. They don't cycle the action either.

Another GK master theory down the tubes.

Its amazing how far a trained, knowledgeable, properly equipped individual who is knowledgeable in fieldcraft, land navigation can get with just a rile, webbing and a patrol pack! Especially if he is tracking a klutz through the bush that thinks 1/2 day exercises are sufficient training. :madeuce: :madeuce:

Yep. I just ordered 4,000 rounds of the super colibri at a very good price. I regret not ordering more, too. Rabbits and squirrels out to 20yards maybe are dead meat on still shots. No action noise, no suppressor needed, etc. Good point, Raider!

How does the old colibri compare to the new Super Colibri? I've never shot the old colibri stuff. I would like to get some to try in my pistols since the Super colibri is louder than I like.

KJUN, I just looked. Guess I have the old. Just says Colibri. 20gr bullet, no powder. Its literally quieter than my pellet rifle out of a Ruger MK2 pistol. Its extremely accurate at 15yds (far as I've tested). The super is a little louder but not enough to rouse people 20-40 yds away IMO.

Wait, wait, wait. If the man needs 2 lb of food daily to chase gunkid, doen't gunkid need at least 2 lb of food also (and probabily more as he as to drag his assault-wheelbarrow.)

Now gunkid will have to cover his tracks (energy wasteing exersize), keep away at all times wondering if the searcher is closing in (another energy wasteing exersize), keep looking behind himself, in front, to the sides. I think gunkid will need MORE than 2lb of food daily, not to mention at least 4 to 6 quarts of water. Where will gunkid get that water and make sure it's safe to drink? How will gunkid know where he is, or what the land is like around him, or if he is heading into a swamp?

The answer..... gunkid will croke in one day. Bigtime.

Thanks. That's good to know. The Super Colibri is also pistol only, but I have shot it out of lots of rifles. It is more quiet than my .22 caliber Benjamen air rifle with 10 pumps! Dang, that is nice. However, this is not recommended and I do NOT recommend or encourage any out there to try that with their own rifles. Yadda yadda yadda. I have experienced NO problems yet.

I've tried the Super colibri is some handguns and it as been too loud for my tastes. It is sharp, too. I have shot is within an enclosed room a couple of times. It isn't painful, but I wouldn't want to make a ready habit of it. In an outside envirnonment out of by pistol and revolver, it is loud enough to make neighbors wonder what it was if done regularly. Too bad.

I'm a power hog, so I have passed over the colibri in favor of the super colibri. That might have been a mistake for handguns based on your information. My two new P-22s should arrive soon. I guess I should pick up a brick or two of normal colibri at the next gu show to see how they sound out of those 2 pistols, huh?

Can't hurt!

I've killed small game like pigeons out to 70 yards with CCI CB Longs. It does take some practice to compensate for the drop in your scope at longer ranges, which is of course zeroed for regular ammo.

Out of a 10/22 they are super quiet. In a pistol they are a bit more noisy, but still pretty quiet.

Something I'd like to know, is how long a barrel can you go with before they'll get stuck in the barrel?

Now soem things GK hasn't thought of. All the pursuers need to carry is their fighting gear, water and rations. They won't be carrying everything they own, he will. They'll be lighter, faster, quieter, and not exhausted from the hobo Rambo-wannabe lifestyle.
