of gear hanging on them. :) They wouldn't make it past the FIRST patch of ice, the first slippery hill, the first mile of mud or ankle deep snow, before they'd HAVE to jettison 50 lbs, or else be out of the fight, with a screwed up ankle or knee. ALL of you know this, but I am the ONLY one to tell the guy that he's fos about his CLAIM of being able to do this. I have $5000 to his $500, that says he can't stay with me, running with 50 lbs of gear, and I am an office worker, 51 years old. :) I have a nice mountain trail right outside my back door, here in SW CO, and my backpack and its sandbags see regular use.

WHEN, not if, you fall with 90 lbs of gear

on your back (stupid 10 lb rifle in your hands) you are GOING to bust your teeth and nose on a rock, and I will laugh my ass off at you, too.

You wouldn't laugh at anybody, because while we're running around with our 100lbs of gear and bust our teeth, you'll be out of breath at the 25yd line with 50lbs of gear.

Further note, your posts read as if they were written by a 3rd grader, are you even old enough to post on a firearms forum? They lack direction, are inconcise, have poor grammar. Verbs don't agree with nouns. Subjects change randomely, and do you even know what .223 is in metric? Or, more precisely, what is the official gov't designation of the .223 Remington and what are 2 other .223 rifle cartridges? Bet 223 fan can't answer either.

u mean 5.56 x45mm, stupid? Come

TAKE my money, then, punk. :) I have a mountain right outside my window. You are only risking a few hundred $, you are so SURE that I'm so unfit. Come TRY it, punk. I will LOVE taking your money. After you fall and get hurt, somebody MIGHT just kick your head off, you never know these days. :) Stupidity such as yours OUGHT to be fatal, after all. There's no point in the other bs 223's, because they AINT the standard, and the standard 223 SUFFICES. So why bother with non-standard bs? Only an ignorant twit like you would even consider such.

good expansion of its front lead core,

while the copper partition protects the rear lead core, so adequate penetration is achieved. Dummy. It's been THE premier rifle hunting bullet for many decades now. It is the standard by which all such expanding bullets are measured. And an ignorant jerk like you PRESUMES to argue with me about bullet "effectiveness.

So gunkid, exactly what type of pack do you have? How is it pack? What is packed in it? How often do you hump it? Remember you turned down a ruck march in Washington state because you are scared of twisting your ankle.

Why are you always posting about your criminal proclivities? Are you a career criminal?

I've humped 100lbs before, but during a SHTF situation loads of that capacity would be saved for things like portages.

Anyone who plans in the least will have some sort of transportation.

Anytime you want to do a timed trial, let me know. I'll pack my pack, and weight it, you pack yours and weigh it.

The rules are simple, it is on the honor system. You weight your gear at the start and again at the mid point, and finally at the end. we do 10 miles any terrain you want, for time. we have to provide witnesses and photos of our gear. Because I know you can't have guns, you can substitute anything of equal weigh for whatever weapon system you would choose otherwise.

but you have to post pictures of your gear, and detail the route you plan on taking, showing where the midway point will be at on a map.
It'll be fun, as I'm going to be doing this anyway in preparation for an elk hunt in September.

clowns THINK that they can RUN, 100 lbs of gear hanging on them. :) They wouldn't make it past the FIRST patch of ice, the first slippery hill, the first mile of mud or ankle deep snow, before they'd HAVE to jettison 50 lbs, or else be out of the fight, with a screwed up ankle or knee. So a person believing they can run with "100 lbs of gear" makes them a clown. And we all know this but refuse to admit it.

...So you have to put a front quarter of a beef, or horse or 2 quarters of a sheep or a goat on your A frame and run, so what?
But according to the same person, putting a front-quarter beef (which is usually more like 150 lbs) on your back and running away from an angry farmer is a "so what" accomplishment.

Got it.
