Midway has the 1849 Colt on seemingly endless backorder. I ordered an 1851 Colt Navy. That should be fun to shoot.

It will be. I have one I've flat wore out. It sits on the mantle to remind me of the good times we shared, and occaisionally I take it down and just handle it for awhile.

G762, thats sooo cool! I love the old C&B's. How much do you pay for caps? I paid $4.99 plus tax for 100 #10's. Thats sick. I wonder if tap-o-cap works.

I think I pay about the same for percussion caps. I use No. #11 Dynamit Nobel - (German made caps) or 'Remington' made. I never liked the CCI caps.Plus, I like the tins the caps come in better from Remington..​
