I agree, different types of shooting sports are good to participate in if you can.

The ability to use different weapons under different circumstances while under pressure is a good skill to have.

But getting locked into one type of game is not.

As you said, TODD, being locked into only one segment ot competetive shooting, is detrimental to all of the other competitions.

When you're a "ONE TRICK PONY" with your shooting activities everything else is degraded. Which is why I shoot several "three gun" disciplines.

I have found that Cowboy Action Shooting actually contributed to other shooting disciplines. Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Silhouette shooting, contributed to my long range rifle shooting skills.
