Darn bi focals

I hate to say it but, hitting the big 50 has its disadvantages.
For one bi focals. I am having a heck of a time with fast sight
allignment. My CCW test is coming up in about two weeks.

No problem hitting the center but, I find that its taking too long
to crane my head back so I can line up front and rear sigts in
the close up part of my glasses and then look though the
distance part of my glasses at the target. Under a time constrant
this could be a hassle.

Anyone else ever had this kind of problem?

Your eye Dr. should be able to put the magnification portions of your glasses wherever you want them. Mine did, and it works great.
For your CCW test, this wont do any good but for target shooting have glasses made that lets you focus on the front sight.
I did this a few years ago and it's worked well. The target is fuzzy but the sight is sharp and clear.
Big improvement in my shooting.
Thanks

Yea it sounds like its time for a trip to my eye doctor
for a presciption change.
Bi focals? = No Problem

I have a CCW up for renewal early next year too...... And an Optometrist who 'packs' and belongs to my shooting club. ;)

Just got a new pair last week and I no longer have to do a Flamingo imitation when I line up my handgun sights.:D
