and be sure to fire your 'max safe" loads thru a hot gun. You can heat up the gun by rapidfiring standard ammo, ya know and then test your "special" rds. A hot gun and hot weather can add quite a bit of chamber-pressure, and if you worked up your "max safe" loads in cold weather and a cold gun, the heat can render those loads unsafe. When you need your fighting gun/ammo, that's not the time to have a burst case, ripped off case rim, etc. I do believe in max effort combat loads, but mine are max SAFE loads, specifically worked up in a given gun/barrel, with certain type of brass, etc.
