dont NEED compass for basic wayfinding.

stick shadow will tell you directions.If sun aint shining,WAIT. What's your hurry? See, bozos, compass and map are for fools who "think" that they have to be a certain place,by a certain TIME. Post shtf, there will be no such hurry,nor any need to be anyplace. Not, anyway,for the guy who can hack it anyplace. People will be bringing supplies to such a guy, all the time and everyplace. :) Inadvertantly and unintentionally,but the result will be the same.

Yes, your stick in the ground will tell you where the valleys are, where the water holes are, where the roads are, and where the cities are.


But when you're are trying to E&E, you ain't going to put your stick in the ground to guess a direction to travel. Of course, without a map, what's the point anyway?

Plus, sticking to heavy cover, traveling only at night, kinda negates the whole stick in the gound thing, doesn't it?

Once again, FACTS (you know, those things that punks can't stand) trump silly fantasy.
