Interesting video, no snow of course. I loved when he took his battery into his sleeping bag over night. I'm guessing that dependent on your location and age this could be a backup option since your limited to the weight carried. Not something I can see using on the bald [email protected] prairie though.

Once I get relocated. That is something I was interested in mostly for traveling around my AO. Maybe down to the local feed and seed or wherever.

I'm still considering pack goats. But a decent E-bike maybe. Only thing I'm dubious about is the batteries lasting long enough to on whatever charge cycles. No pun intended.

I can see it, for limited distance trips throughout your AO, but not long distant trips past 20-25 miles.

I also thought of eventually building a little solar charging station for it and some other things like rechargeable batteries for cordless power tools.
So if the grid goes down, even during just a storm I'd be okay. Unless my set up was "gone with the wind" so to speak.

I've thought about getting an e-bike for hunting. I'd get a small trailer for it and carry a 100 watt folding solar panel. park it and let the sun charge it while I hunt. Harbor freight has some folding "briefcase" units that got really good reviews for cheap(ish) prices. I'd want the trailer for carrying game out anyway. Would also work for any end of the world scenario too.
