and controlabilty, that is, 5" long, 11 oz M21 Beretta, or PM9 Kahr 9mm (loaded properly, with CorBon's 100 gr PowRball or their 90 gr plus P jhp). There's ZERO reason to carry a larger, heavier gun, and have what amounts to ZERO more stopping power than a .22, and pay 10x as much for the ammo. The .22 can be a fun plinker-trail gun for small game (once you install decent sights and get rid of the trigger's overtravel) and good for teaching. the .32's, 380's, .38's and Maks are nothing of the kind. they lack power, in any but REALLY MEAN loads in the .38 snub, and the latter both lacks controlability and it also bulges rather badly in a front pants pocket.
