Even .22 unit's front sights have to be
silver soldered onto their slides, (Colt type,anyway) because the staked on version comes loose, and sooner rather than later. It should also, of course, be ramped and serrated, so that it won't "snag" in your rig or in your underwear, if you Mexican carry it, IWB.
