from 10 ft, or less, starting gun in hand. that IS how the attacker gets to 'start", u can't draw first, legally, if he's being discrete about how he approaches things. So what makes you "think" you can be slower than 1.5 second to react, ccw draw and hit?. 70 sec, starting hand on gun, in pocket, is a LOT better than 1.50 second, too. in that .80 second, even garnad could fire 3 rds at you.

Get a grip. If somebody has their gun in hand even you aren't going to make the drop Melvin. This is babble that proves nothing.

Even if you could draw and hit in .7 seconds (and you can't), what makes you think that the .8 seconds will be enough time for the guy to react to the hit and stop the attack before he plugs you? If you're dealing with such short differences in time, you're going to take a hit, and your "speed" (which you don't have) means nothing.

What's this fascination with fish testicles? You're always talking about gar 'nads?

Magnum says: "What's this fascination with fish testicles? You're always talking about gar 'nads?"

It ain't the fish that fascinates him, its the worm. Ugh.

If the balloon ever goes up, only a dipstick will get caught with a firearm holstered! If you are in a hostile enviornment and you decide to play "Marshall Dillon", given your pathetic track record, your going to be looking at the grass from the roots up. You can't handle the stress of simple competition much less the stress when you life is on the line. There are no heroes, just survivors. And by the way WANNABE, your not a survivor!

Garand quotes: "your going to be looking at the grass from the roots up." ... " There are no heroes, just survivors."

I like those and will remember them. Thanks.

I remember Bill Jordan writing about how even if you were a very fast shot, if the other did not telegraph his draw and just drew, you would be dead before you realized he had fired. No matter how fast you are, if your mind is not there for that one split second, you will be left at the gate.

Stup*kid does does not even understand this. He has this Matt Dillion BS dream fantacy. Like walking around with his hands in his pockets all the time, or carrying guns in his tigh pocket (just put your car keys in it, and you will see in 10 minutes why it's not a good idea.)

All his ideas are untested stuff he read in pulp magazines.

Melvin, have you found as you get older that the choking up during competition has gotten better or worse?

You never choke in competition if you never shoot competition. So no, he hasn't 'choked in competition' in decades.

I'm sure he has choked something...
Only his roommate in jail (bubba) knows for sure! Years ago he insinuated that he did everything he had to do to survive in jail.
