I don't remember ever seeing this topic tossed around here, so I'll open up the floodgates......

I'll admit that I am a .45 fan at heart. I like the shoot-ability of this round over everything else. Sure it is big and slow, but damn it is intimidating! :eek2:

Does anyone have an opinion on this subject???? :D

I tend to like big heavy bullets myself, but to be honest, the .357 Sig just fascinates me. Every gun I have in that caliber is rock solid dependable and extremely accurate.

Recently I found a couple more Steyr M357s and I bought both of them. Now that is a really nice gun/caliber combo!

I'm a single action revolver type. The only reason I even have an auto is concealability in the summer.

Favorite is .45 Colt. Can be loaded way down for tin can shooting or way up (in Rugers) for really smacking something. Hard.

Yeah!

I've recently bought a few Anacondas in .45 Colt as well as the carry piece I stick in my pants pocket to carry around here is a Taurus in .45 Colt.

I LIKE that big hole at the end of the barrel.

I haven't been able to get a real accurate load for it yet, though. Gotten OK results, but nothing to brag about. Just need to spend some more time experimenting, I guess.

i have always been enamored by the s&w model 27. when i got the chance to get a 1968 vintage vey good in original box a few yrs back i had to have it. traded my model 13 and $100 bucks for her an never looked back. she's got a 6" barrel an custom mono grip lamo camo grip. i've been reloading for .38 .357 mag for about 25 yrs now an got some pretty accurate cast loads worked up for her.

it depends.......

Home defence is 45 and I cross the tops for expansion so no one is at jeopardy in the next room. For general blasting and fun is the 38 out of one of my 357's. Then again, on the last camping trip my friend had a 22.mag wheel gun with a 6 inch barrel and that was really fun for tin can's at a distance (damn another gun i gotta buy... :D ).

.224 BOZ, not like I can own it but something about a .40 necked down to a .224 that I can't get over. That's just cool!

Real world, I would have to go with the .44 mag. Not that I think it's the best round I just think it has the perfect kick and when I shoot in the desert it kicks up just enough sand/rocks to look ultra cool.
