2 days ago I finally finished building both my and my wifes ammo for this season of Cowboy Action matches. 4,000 x .38 Spl, 2,200 x .44 Magnum, 1,700 x .45 Colt, 800 x .45 acp, and 200 x .30-30. All in cast lead, all done on a turret press. Its been a long 3 months!

Yeah, I don't shoot that much anymore. Maybe after I move and get things back more on an even keel.
I do know I've decided to concentrate on getting back into bullet casting once I get my other firearms projects done. Well at least "more done".😛

Its good to be finished, since I finished I've started to put together our match schedule. This looks like it will be touch and go due to increased costs this year. One 10 day match we have been attending the last 8 years in August when not shut down by covid, the cost of the hotel has increased $225.00 in 1 year. Thats going to take a bite out of amount of matches we attend.

Ugh, understand that.
I've had price increases in about everything down here.
Cost of living jump in my corner of the state here is another reason to move.

I went to the range today to verify a load and check my zero. only shot 15 rounds, but that's all I needed. 9 to check and adjust zero - 1.75" high at 100, and 6 to verify dead on at 30 yards. Plus, I have a limited supply of the bullets I'm using (Barnes VLCs in 225gr)

This was my .338 - I'm taking it as my backup to my bow when I go bear hunting this May. I plan on only using the bow, but if the bow breaks or has issues, then I'll be using the rifle. Because of the terrain, 30 yards would be the maximum shot distance.
