were ALL "one man" ammuntion-making companies, at one time, ya know. NOTHING prevents somebody from offering the Split Nose ammo commercially. It's perfectly legal to own, carry, and use such ammo in self defense, even tho it pierces concealable body armor. Just because nobody has YET done so doesn't mean it wont happen, someday soon.

Well, when it's available, it might have some merit. IF it outperforms the premium ammo available at this time. However, you can't make ammunition, so you won't be the "one man" soon or not.

Once it becomes commercially available then it will merit discussion. Until then it is unproven fantasy.

Economics does. Do you have any idea what the cost of bringing out a new load, properly designed, tested and documented, is? The market would have to be more than somebody or two dreaming about having one. It ain't just somebody throwing together a few handloads in his/her kitchen, then claiming great things of it.

Actually, it could be done, but you'd have to approach it as a hobby and slowly build up clients until you could afford to go larger scale.

I beleive berger bullets started this way.

But, he has much larger legal hurdles preventing him from even getting started.

Of course the problem being for anyone to bring this out, is the cost involved. The bullets, even as components, would cost as much, if not more than the mass-produced premium bullets, and won't work as well as those premium bullets.

If this "split nose" design was so great, would these companies have spent the MILLIONS on computer-designed ammunition and IGNORED the "split nose" for 30 years?
Hint: it's been tried, it just doesn't work as well as the tard dream it would. Just shows he's never actually tried it.
