9mm versions, maybe, but not their .45's
The 1911 is well proven to stand up to hundreds of thousands of .45's. The 9mm only has half the recoil -stresses, and the Glock .45 has a lot of exposed brass at the feed ramp. If the .45 was loaded anywhere close to the pressures of the .40's 40,000 CUP, you'd have nothing but kabooms out of the Glock .45 .
