Extreme jealousy over the accomplishment of another shooter. It becomes you Andy. I really wish that you, as our current master 'shottist' would post your times. They would certainly provide a high standard for the rest of us peons to 'shoot for'.

Glocktalk or The High Road, bser. Where there's some guys who KNOW about timed fire with a pistol. I'm the only one here with a CLUE how big a liar you ARE, punk.
ANdy, or whoever you are today, It was 25 YARDS, not twenty. I have good eye and hand coordination because I haven't been stuffing chemicals in my body for thirty years. Maybe you should contact "Jeff" who your on a first name basis with, and he'll tell you that 10 shot's at 25 yards in a three inch group in 2.71 seconds is eminentley "doable". I probably could speed up my time with a chopped Star BM. (With a Can). It's still there, calling me names doesen't make it go away.

well guys, I don't want to feed the fire here but on that thread there are some interesting comments. In particular, a five time USPSA champ posted on the thread (the type of guy I was looking for to comment on the shooting) and he's echoing what andy said.

if it was done as said, it appears it would indeed be world class level shooting.

To back up his claims, he even shot a video on his way home today, here are the specs...

I shot ten rounds into the A box of an IPSC target at five yards. The time was 1.15 draw (slow to maintain neutrality in my hands because 9 fast splits can lead to trigger freeze) , the splits between shots were .16, .13, .14, .14, .17, .16, .15, .18, and .15. The pistol is my L10 skinny gun, a Les Baer PII, the ammo was 200 grain lead at minor power factor of 158.
here is his vid:

XXX.trib.com/~rankeny/Quick.wmv

I replaced the "www" with "XXX" because I don't want the host of the website tracing the link back to this thread... so, you'll have to cut and paste.

That guy was using ammunition and equipment built for this type of shooting. The times Terry posted compared to the shooting in the video are very close.

cheers

It is not unthinkable to me to learn that one of our members is capable of doing such times. I am working toward that goal but it will bea while.

I'll bet that some of our other members can turn in outstanding times on demand but are just too modest to say so.

I'm kind of amazed this has gone this far. I'll post my credentials as a Federal Firearms Instructor, if that's what it takes. I taught firearms for 18 years, so I practice a lot. My last qualification on the Armed Escort Course was 296 out of a 300 possible. Ruger P89 DAO, not exactly a race gun. Young pups beat my times regularly. I'm still trying to squash that smart a** GS-7, that showed me up with his Beretta.

There is no way I will believe that 'young pups' regularly beat a 2.71 second timed ten shots from the holster into a 3 inch group at 25 yards. That ain't happening because as I have said before that is *****ndous shooting. What I do not understand is that you do not agree that such is *****ndous shooting but rather say that others beat you regularly. It is absolutely great shooting, and I too have been a federal firearms instructor for about 14 - 15 years. I am a good shot but nowhere nearly as fast as that at 25 yards for sure. I know very few people who could duplicate that spped alone at 25 yards and still get all on the paper, but I am pretty sure I know one or two who could do it, so it is not an impossibility.

that was supposed to be S-t-u-p-endous shooting but I guess the filters grabbed it because someone here liked to call people s t u p e s.
