it's pretty easy to go too deep, cut into either the firing pin channel or the slot that's cut to clear the mag lips. You have to leave enough metal in that slot to drill a hole for keeping the extractor spring "encased", too, ya know. Having to buy a new M21 slide is a pretty expensive goof.

Why not forgo the hassle and get a real gun? The M21 is not that good of a gun and you know it.
