1911, over 30 years ago, using 10.0 grs of Unique,in a regular old 1911. You guys are WAY behind the curve. With modern powders,fully supported barrels, heavier springs, longer, MUCH stronger case of 460 Rowland, getting same bullet to 1550 fps is nothingmuch.

The point is that most people carry .45's for protection against other people, and with the new style hollowpoints that have been avaiable for 15 years now in factory loaded ammo ready to go, you don't need a custom rocket load, with the unnecessary extra recoil and stress on the weapon, to get reallly effective man-stopper performance.

Real world shooting of perps by cops show that they do work.

Shooting a stray dog or two in your spare time is seldom a good indicator on how it would work on a human. Dogs react a lot differently when hit with a bullet.

They do work and they work well. The scruitiny that these bullets have undergone is impressive.

You just don't want to admit that the world passed you by a bit while you were on ice and some of your favorite tricks are now something of a non-issue.

MANY people are stopped by .22's, so the fact that a lot of wimps stop when shot with non-expanding jhp's doesn't prove that they expand, or that said expansion was enough to mean jack crap.

animals do NOT just psycholically QUIT. you have to PHYSICALLY effect them. well over half of men shot just QUIT, they aint stopped.

I've OFFERED, for YEARS now, to bet 10 to one on the results of shooting 10 dogs, from the front, to one lung, the way men get shot, using such lame assed jhp's, versus using my prefrags. NOBODY wants to puta lousy $500 against my $5000? Know WHY? Cause they know damned WELL that they'd lose, and I'd laugh them off of the NET.
