I went shopping today and picked up a 6 pack of Guinness Extra Stout. Put it in the fridge to chill. Its now after 5 o'clock and I'm off work. The beer has been chilling in the chest freezer for exactly 44 minutes.

My first comment when I tasted it was "Nectar!". That is some good beer. Definitely on my 'approved list'. Will have to look some more for the other beers but there are a couple of other stores that may have it.

Thanks to each of you for a great lead.

RIKA :)

Oh Guiness is surely what God drinks on his days off!
BTW, the colder the better.

I have discovered a microbrew called old 38 stout - I like it almost as much as I do the guiness.

However, the best guiness I have ever enjoyed was in a small irish pub in boston...the kind of place where by the end of the evening, you know everybody in the place...

too bad taxichewsis is such a liberal hell-hole. (no offense meant to those sticking it out in the trenches...)

Tadcaster Oatmeal Stout is another beer which I've grown quite fond of.

Is that available nationally or just locally?
