·use M4 and 60 gr Hornady TAP softpoints, get good sideways shots into ribs, from 100m and less. He says 55 gr M193 ball ammo lets them run 50m or so, which is what 170 gr 30-30 softpoints typically do, too.

·223 is an amazing little cartridge, and
with the .22lr conversion adding a fantastic amount of versatility and low cost skill building, the combo is simply splendid. With a good sound suppressor, the 223 is every bit as "tame" to use as is the .22 unit (unsuppressed) So the .22 training at snapshooting speed/accuracy translates directly into ability to do the same with the "canned" 223. Of course, that only applies to those with balls enough to make or buy a can, which comes to about 10,000 guys in the entire US (centerfire rifle cans, anyway. ) Doesn't say much for how many are really serious about preparing to fight Big Brother. Fortunately, less than 1000 will be really needed, and `100 might welll suffice, if they go at things properly.

I see no sense in you even trying to survive when shtf. there's no reason other then you're personal survival which can't be much more then 10-15 years from the timeline you've laid out for yourself. if you're not out to help rebuild and restore then you'll just be a parisite of humanity, we won't need you. you'll just be a burden much like you are here.

people have opposed Big Brother in this Country ever since the Constitution was foisted on everyone. The Founders were never sent to do anything of the kind, they were sent to REWRITE the Articles of Confederation. Washington sent troops to impose TAXES, and guys opposed them. People hated all the socialist crap introduced by BOTH rooseveldts, and If I ever choose to, I'll make the taliban and al queda both look like kids.
