says, at the MUZZLE. down to 2000 fps at a mere 100 yds, Anyone who "thinks" that a shorty 223 aint WAY out in front of Hornet is just an ignorant lame, that's all. 11" 223 will get an 80 gr vld going that fast, and it has such a high BC that it will still have 2000 fps left atnearly 300 yds, dumbass.

Unfortunately, to load 80 gr. VLDs in an AR turns it into a single-shot.

'Hornet is 52 grs, 2400 fps, 24" bore, Speer says, at the MUZZLE. down to 2000 fps at a mere 100 yds, Anyone who "thinks" that a shorty 223 aint WAY out in front of Hornet is just an ignorant lame, that's all. 11" 223 will get an 80 gr vld going that fast, and it has such a high BC that it will still have 2000 fps left atnearly 300 yds, dumbass."

One, it's a 24 inch barrel. Two it's a Hornet, not a 5.56. Three it's 100 yards. Four it's a handload (as if in a SHTF there will be loading presses all over the hills.)

Dumbkid, you will have a 11 inch pos CAR. Not a 24 inch rifle barrel or even a 20 or even a 16!

You will be LUCKY to find factory SP or military from various makes and various bullet weights. Your POS CAR, with such a short barrel, will be very outclassed by even a 20 inch AR-15! The AK will outclass your CAR. The M1 Carbine will be almost in your league.

The CAR is a losers gun. Face it. All looks and no performance.
