Cabinet Approves Procedure For Use Of Hunting Weapons And Cartridges For Them When Performing Tasks Of Territorial Defense | Ukrainian news (ukranews.com)

They are starting to get very serious, about repelling the Russian aggressors. Back to WW2 England after Dunkirk when there wasn't enough small arms available the "Home Guard" was issued with anything that was donated by the North American public.

I'm sure that this will probably increase the number of "snipers", that the territorial defence can deploy.

I've also heard that one of the reasons why the price and availability of 91/30's changed dramatically was the troubles there in around 2014 IiRC. That put a stop to the legitimate flow of surplus arms.
In fact IIRC Ukraine re defined the 91/30 and has held them in reserve.

I've got mixed feelings on this one. From different points of view.

I'm curious as to why our closet communists are wanting a war with the New Russian Imperialists?
I figure grandpa must be looking down at this and thinking "WTF?! Doesn't anyone learn from history?!"
