I went to the PD to get my Michigan mandatory pistol"safety inspection"(registration:rolleyes: ).The officer doing the "safety check" apparently had expierience with Ruger MKII's(what I was registering). We got to yakking about guns in general & another guy walked in with a pistol case. The desk officer told me that that guy was picking up a Ruger MKI that had been recovered after being stolen 21 YEARS ago!
I thought that that was pretty kool.:D

I may just be "not right", but my first thought was, "I wonder if he has to re-imburse the insurance company that paid his claim 21 years ago...?"

:D
Hmm, I was thinking, "I wonder how many hands that gun passed through in all that time, and who wound up holding the bag when the gun got confiscated."
COOL,

It's always great to see stolen property recovered.:D

As for the insurance claim, I'm sure there are some laws in place to keep the company from reclaiming his claim. Afterall, that WAS 21 years ago, niether he, nor anyone else, would know that he would get it back after 21 years.;)
G
It wasnt actually recovered....
