mags. Might do so even if only had 5 rders. Have to think about that last one a bit, but off the cuff,I believe I'd still pick it, as long as its the GI rifle and load, .22 unit, threaded 10" barrel, can, etc. Wouldn't be HAPPY about it, and I'd be looking to weld-together some of those 5 rd mags.

As a matter of fact, 5 rd mags really aren't a problem, as long as you are skilled at mag changes. Being that your a wannabe, you don't get alot of practice, you could have a problem. I use my 14.5" Armalite M15A2(LE) as a game gun in 3 gun matches and 1 second mag changes are no real problem.

Andy, you use your weapon as a crutch to compensate for your operational deficiencies. If you were half as good as you think you are, you could function efficiently with almost any weapon.

10 round mags don't matter if you're not sprayin' and prayin'. They are a viable option.

The 10" barrel is still stupid. Your ammo is absolutely dependant on impact velocity to work properly (you did bring up the military issue round), and the 10" barrel is the most effective way to castrate the .223. I guess it's fine if you're going to keep insisting on using it only within pistol range, because that's about all you'll get out of it. Do yourself a favor and get a 16" barrel and a QD suppressor. At least the people who can have any weapon they want and are still going to get the AR anyway should think along those lines.

I've already PROVED his 11" CAR is a pos animic weapon that is realistly not much more than a 9mm carbine. Stup*kid can dream of his trash rifle. I would rather get a REAL rifle. Even a 16" AR gets enough velocity to make it a fair short range combat rifle. Better yet, get the 20" standard AR if you are going to stick with the 5.56. It's just to velocity dependant for just about any task to cut the barrel down.
