to fire, unless he's charging you or outflanking your cover. At the 20 yds presumed in a big chunk of the IDPA "classifier" course, you'd never hit the guy as he moves SIDEWAYS to you, except by PURE LUCK. If he's not trying to move more than 15 ft from one place of cover to another, he's going to BE there before you can fire. By the time you SEE him leave cover and REALIZE you have to track him and fire, .5-1 full second will have elapsed. Then ANOTHER .5-1 full second for you to get your sights on him and fire a controled shot. In 1 second, he will have moved 10 ft, assuming a standiing start, and he'll be DIVING for the last 6-10 ft (depending upon what speed he has attained, and what sort of terrain he is covering, and what sort of stuff he has to land upon.

A man is moving, say, an AVERAGE of 10-15 fps during a short move to another pc of cover. He's a 9" wide target (sideways to you). Say your bullet is moving 840 fps. It takes such a bullet 1/14th of a second to cover 60 ft. .07 second. So he moves 12" or so while the bullet is in flight, and nobody's ever proven that they could reliably do better than hitting the chest, frontally, at about 25m, while actually under fire. So this shooting at stationary, fully exposed torsos, at 20 yds, is bs. A waste of precious range time, and a VERY dangerous, false confidence source.

Gunkid, you mistake a classifier for a match. Classifiers are there to categorize the shooter as to a basic set of skills. It's YOUR mistake to see a classifier as some kind of training or match. But what can we expect from someone who just can't cut it in the real world. He can't cut it at shooting, work, or even logic thought!

Say, gunkid, ever find a way out of the swamp? You still know a CAR is a losers gun.

So when was the last IDPA match that you shot? Please post scores with independent verification. Sounds like the ramblings of a wannabe to me.
