if crossing open terrain, go prone (and then roll) every 3-4 seconds (if you can't find cover that often) So what makes you "think" the enemy will be so stupid as to just STAND there, nd let you shoot at them, in daylight, ESPECIALLY after they become aware of you, hmm? Why WOULDN'T they either use darkness or dodge, use cover, etc, as they approached your "fort", hmm? The ones who are THAT stupid will get wised up the first WEEK after shtf. They will either get shot, or will have SEEN others get shot, so they wont be OFFERING such nice targets. It's STUPID to assume such, so it's stupid to "think" you are going to be doing much, if ANY "long range" shooting.

It's no feat at all to 90m dash, 15 secs.
and that means 20 fps. How long do you THINK a running stride is, hmm? 5 ft or so. So, 4 steps per second. Maybe YOU can't change directions( a bit, 30 degree angle) once per second as you run forward, but any normal man can do so, and WILL do so, once he's aware of a rifle armed threat.

You are absolutley right!
Tactics like the ones prescribed by Melvin will not be suited to shtf. Just what will become of his wife when he's out crawling around on the ground?
There are many more decent, civilized people in the world then there are selfish fanatics. The human spirit will prevail and the 'true parasites' will be eliminated.
The plan will be to rebuild, not skulk around being a troll.
