Can anyone on this great gun Forum help identify German/Austrian made Drillings- I have a friend with one it is a hammer non ejector- 16 gauge shotgun barrels over a metric (7 mm?) rifle barrel- are there good reference books on German proof marks and chamber-cal. metric codes>?? Are there knowlegable gunsmiths that can work on these guns- even a source for replacement parts- possibly one of the two hammers is broken or missing? Thanks Guys-and Gals? without pic's of the weapon and its markings i don't really know of anyone who could id it. drilling's were made in all of the European country's on the continent. i used to have a drilling that was made in Austria, got it from Holland & Holland when i was in Europe one time. it had British proof marks on it and the h&h name. if i didn't already know where it was made you would have bet it was British.
