A while back, I got one of those rifle cleaning vises and can't imagine how I got along without it before. I SURE would like to find one of those things made for cleaning revolvers underneath the Christmas tree. Problem is, I don't think anyone makes one, so that's going to be a tough nut for my wife to crack, I guess.

Maybe a nice Lightforce scope would be nice as well. I'm not sure that Swarovski variable on my Barrett M95 is going to work out. The eye relief at 24X is REAL small, and I'm afraid I would be peeling my eyebrow off of the end of the scope if I tried using it that way. So I'm thinking it might be better to put that scope on one of my .220 Swift rifles.

And I guess what I would like to find most underneath the tree is a bucketfull of time so I could spend some of it shooting these guns instead of just collecting them.

Almost anything that goes bang would be nice. A nice German Luger or P-38 in excellent condition would be a plus!

I used to use Alcan powders a LOT for reloading handgun cartridges. Got some REAL NICE results using AL-120 in .44 Special. Used AL-8 in .44 Magnum with real good results as well.

Never tried tha AL-7 on anything.

Very clean buring powders.

This stuff was imported by Smith & Wesson, many years ago, I believe.

Yeah, you just don't see this stuff around any longer. I think I may still have some myself, but darned little of it.

I'm sure a few old gun shops somewhere have 8 pound kegs stashed away in a back room.

All I Want For Christmas ...

:santa: There's only one new gun that I'd love to have. (OK, I'm lying!) Anyway, my buddy recently purchased a Thompson Encore. He bought it with three long barrels: 50 caliber muzzleloader, 30-06spfld, and 12 ga shotgun. He has scopes on the two rifle barrels. Lord! What a beautiful gun this is.

Both of us believe in, 'One-Shot' hunting; so this Encore couldn't be more perfect. Using the same receiver he can, also, install a number of different pistol length barrels; and, yes, he's already started to add more barrels to this unbelievably versatile gun. I'm so jealous! :D
