(Although I do own a CAR-15 and a "can". Omigosh, I also own an HP-22, although it was bought out of curiosity and sees little use. I also own a "Stallard" [think "Hi-Point"] .45 blowback pistol and a Davis .32 derringer. Frankly, those are the "bought out of curiosity, and at very little cost" guns. Haven't shot the Stallard since 1994 probably; it just sits at the back of the safe. Never use it, but couldn't sell it for anything, so it sits there like a nerd on prom night.)

Exactly. They're now (or at least 'were' at one time) renamed "High-Point". It's a fixed-barrel, blowback operated pistol a la Jennings, Raven, etc., except the size of a 1911. Slightly larger (mainly thicker) than a 1911, due to extra mass needed on a blowback.

Hi-Point may have also been connected with Lorcin; not sure about that.
