I'm kind of surprised that the S&W mountain gun was never mentioned. I picked one up at a gun show and was amazed by it weight, or lack thereof, I should say. I don't think I'd want to fire it a lot, but for 24/7 use, I wouldn't think that it would be very noticable to the wearer.

I carry a S&W 629 4" on a consistant basis, they aren't that bad to fire. The only difference between it and the Mountain gun, is that the Mountain gun has a lighter, tapered barrel, whereas the regular has a normal profile barrel.

To answer the original post FROM LAST YEAR, in AK, I'd take the .454 SRH as the handgun and a Marlin 1895 as the rifle.
