the siberian fire lay. Since the siberian projects its heat in one direction, twice as far as a normal fireyou dont want or need the high, long clear vertical side of the shelter and the long fire arranged alongside of it, much too close for safety of the plastic With PEVA being more transparent, you want the Siberian 3 logs only, burning only on the end, in line with the long axis of the shelter,, a lower shelter, much less clear material, more reflective material. The PEVA is enough more clear that it can be double layered, which should help retain heat when the fire has died-down and you've gone to sleep. By freeing up that material and with modern materials, it's a lot more feasible to have the double thickness shelter and the debris between the layers. So you need a lot less fire wood. You'll be warm enough at the head end that you can wrap your jacket around your lower legs and feet, making up for them being 4 ft further from the heat.
