hand, spare mag in weak hand, forefinger ahead of the top cartridge, ready to "feel" the front of the mag well. Drop the mag that's in the gun, slam in the spare. It can be done before the ejected mag hits you in the chest.

Mag changes can be done in more appropriate places. Generally mag changes are not an appropriate bedroom activity. It could bead to marital discourse.
